The New Franchises
PSL 11 marks the arrival of two brand new franchises — expanding the league to 8 teams for the first time and bringing PSL cricket to new cities and fanbases.

Hyderabad Kingsmen are PSL’s seventh franchise — bought for PKR 1.75 billion by the FKS consortium led by Fawad Sarwar. They open PSL 11 against Lahore Qalandars in the very first match of the tournament on March 26 — no more challenging debut imaginable.
The franchise is named after and based in Hyderabad — one of Pakistan’s most historically rich cricket cities that has produced dozens of international players over the decades. Their long-term home will be Niaz Stadium once it is upgraded to PSL standards. The FKS group also owns the Chicago Kingsmen in Minor League Cricket in the USA, making Hyderabad Kingsmen part of an internationally connected franchise network.

Rawalpindi Pindiz are PSL’s most expensive franchise ever — bought for a record PKR 2.45 billion by Walee Technologies. Built from the core of the former Multan Sultans squad, Pindiz bring serious pedigree: Mohammad Rizwan as captain, Naseem Shah leading the pace attack and Daryl Mitchell adding international class.
The franchise name was unveiled on February 22, 2026 through a 25-second video featuring Rawalpindi’s iconic landmarks. Despite being a new franchise, their retained core means Pindiz are not a rookie side — they are a relocated, rebranded powerhouse with genuine playoff ambitions from day one.
