Born on 8 November 2001 in Karachi, Sindh, she bats right-handed and bowls right-arm medium fast with a natural aggression and relentless competitive spirit that has made her a consistent match-winner for her country. At just 24 years old, she already carries the experience of more than 60 international appearances in each format, making her a seasoned campaigner well ahead of her years.
Her debut story is one of cricket’s finest coincidences: called up as an injury replacement for Diana Baig during Pakistan’s tour of South Africa in May 2019, she wasted no time making the spot her own. On her ODI debut she dismissed the dangerous Lizelle Lee with just her third delivery in international cricket — a moment that told selectors everything they needed to know. She made her T20I debut on the same tour and quickly became a fixture in both squads.
A defining highlight of her early career came in the 2019/20 PCB Triangular Twenty20 Women’s Tournament, where she took six wickets at an economy of 6.20 to guide PCB Challengers to the title.
