He was named Player of the Match for that knock and three catches. He carried that form into the Pakistan Shaheens setup, scoring an unbeaten 110 off 63 balls in the 2025 Top End T20 Series to rescue his side from a difficult position.
Samad made his T20I debut for Pakistan against New Zealand in March 2025 and impressed with a gritty unbeaten 44 in a low-scoring fourth match. He earned his ODI cap against Bangladesh in March 2026.
