PCB Issues Legal Notice to Corbin Bosch Over PSL Contract Breach
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially issued a legal notice to South African cricketer Corbin Bosch for allegedly breaching his HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 contract, the board announced on Sunday.

Corbin Bosch’s PSL Contract Controversy
The 30-year-old all-rounder was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the Diamond category during the PSL 2025 draft in January. However, recent reports suggest that Bosch is considering withdrawing from his PSL commitments to join the Mumbai Indians for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.
The IPL franchise is reportedly seeking Bosch as a replacement for injured fast bowler Lizaad Williams ahead of the tournament, scheduled to run from March 22 to May 25, 2025.
PCB’s Official Statement on the Legal Notice
In an official statement, the PCB confirmed that it has taken legal action against Bosch through his agent, demanding an explanation for his decision to withdraw from professional and contractual commitments.
“South Africa’s Corbin Bosch has been served a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) alleging breach of the all-rounder’s contractual obligations to the PCB. The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments. The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter.”
Bosch’s Past IPL & SA20 Experience
While Bosch has yet to make his IPL debut, he was previously associated with Rajasthan Royals as a reserve player. He has also played a crucial role in the SA20 league for MI Cape Town, where he helped his team secure the title with 11 wickets in seven matches at an economy rate of 8.68.
Should Bosch join Mumbai Indians, he will reunite with his SA20 teammate Ryan Rickelton and strengthen the team’s seam-bowling all-rounder options alongside Hardik Pandya and Raj Bawa.
What’s Next?
The PCB’s firm stance on the matter sets a strong precedent for contractual commitments within the PSL. Whether Bosch responds to the legal notice or opts to proceed with his IPL ambitions remains to be seen.
