GTA 6 Characters: Jason, Lucia & Confirmed Cast
If you are following Grand Theft Auto VI closely, you already know the characters are a huge part of the excitement.
This time, Rockstar is taking us into Leonida with Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos at the center of the story. Around them is a growing cast of criminals, hustlers, musicians, local legends and unpredictable personalities who help make this version of Vice City feel like a much bigger world.
Here is everything currently known about the revealed GTA 6 characters and where they fit into the story.
1. Jason Duval
Jason is one half of the main duo in GTA 6.
His past has already given us plenty to talk about. He grew up around criminals, spent time in the Army and eventually ended up working with drug runners in the Leonida Keys.
What makes Jason interesting is that he does not appear to be chasing chaos just for the sake of it. He seems to want a more comfortable life, but his surroundings keep pulling him back toward crime.
Then Lucia enters the picture.
Their relationship could become one of the biggest parts of the game. They clearly trust each other, but neither of them knows exactly where their partnership will lead.
For GTA fans, Jason is especially interesting because Rockstar appears to be building him as more than just another criminal protagonist. His history, connections and relationship with Lucia give him plenty of room to develop during the story.
2. Lucia Caminos
Lucia is the second main protagonist and arguably one of the most intriguing characters Rockstar has introduced in the series.
She has already spent time in Leonida Penitentiary and comes out determined to change her situation.
Lucia is not simply looking for an easy escape. She wants a better life and seems willing to take serious risks to get there.
Her relationship with Jason is where things get really interesting.
The two are clearly connected by their ambitions and criminal activities, but GTA 6 has not revealed exactly how far their partnership will go. That uncertainty is a big part of the hype.
Lucia also gives the story a different perspective from Jason. Her experiences, family background and time in prison could have a major influence on how the adventure unfolds.
Jason and Lucia
This is the relationship GTA fans will probably be watching the closest.
Jason and Lucia are not just two characters sharing the same game. They are the center of the story.
Both want something better, but their route toward that goal is going to be anything but simple.
Their partnership also gives GTA 6 a different dynamic from previous games. Instead of following one protagonist or switching between three separate leads, the game is putting much more attention on the connection between these two characters.
That makes every robbery, escape and bad decision potentially more important.
Cal Hampton
Cal is one of Jason’s friends and is connected to Brian Heder.
He is the kind of character who seems perfectly comfortable staying away from the spotlight. His interests lean toward internet theories, surveillance and anything that makes him suspicious of what is happening around him.
That makes him a very different personality from Jason.
Cal also gives us another look at the people surrounding Jason before the main story gets completely out of control. His connection to Jason and Brian could make him more important than his laid-back personality initially suggests.
For fans, he is one of those characters worth keeping an eye on because GTA has a long history of turning seemingly minor personalities into memorable parts of the story.
Boobie Ike
Boobie Ike is already one of the better-known personalities in Vice City.
He has built a legitimate business empire from a background connected to the city’s criminal world. His interests stretch across real estate, entertainment and the nightlife scene.
But Boobie is not operating completely alone.
His connection with Dre’Quan Priest brings the music business into his world, creating another interesting link between Vice City’s nightlife and its criminal economy.
Boobie feels like the kind of GTA character who can move comfortably between legitimate business and the city’s darker side.
And honestly, that fits Vice City perfectly.
Dre’Quan Priest
Dre’Quan is chasing something different.
He wants to break into the music industry and turn his hustle into a real career. His connection with Boobie Ike gives him access to the Vice City scene, while his work with Only Raw Records puts him directly into the city’s entertainment world.
His story is also connected to Real Dimez.
That makes Dre’Quan an interesting bridge between several parts of GTA 6’s world. He is not simply another criminal character. His ambitions are tied to music, fame, money and the people trying to make it in Vice City.
If you are interested in how GTA 6 handles its music and nightlife culture, Dre’Quan is definitely a character to watch.
Real Dimez
Real Dimez are Bae-Luxe and Roxy.
The duo have built attention around their music, online presence and ability to turn their street experience into something profitable.
Their connection with Dre’Quan places them inside the Only Raw Records storyline, giving GTA 6 another route into the music scene.
What makes them stand out is the way they combine social media culture with the traditional GTA formula of crime, money and ambition.
They are trying to turn attention into success.
And in Vice City, that can become dangerous very quickly.
Raul Bautista
Raul is an experienced bank robber with a very different approach to crime.
He knows the risks and appears to understand that every major score can change the situation for everyone involved.
His experience makes him particularly interesting for fans who want to see more sophisticated criminal operations in GTA 6.
Raul also connects to the game’s larger criminal network, making him more than just another side character.
The big question is how much his ambitions will overlap with Jason and Lucia’s plans.
Brian Heder
Brian Heder represents an older side of Leonida’s criminal world.
He has deep roots in drug smuggling and operates around the Keys. Unlike someone who is constantly looking for attention, Brian has reached a point where he can let other people handle much of the dirty work.
His connection with Jason is especially important.
Jason is allowed to stay at one of Brian’s properties while helping with local business, putting the two characters directly into the same criminal environment.
That relationship could give us a better look at Jason’s life before his partnership with Lucia becomes the main focus.
Why the GTA 6 Characters Matter
The biggest thing to understand about this cast is that these characters are not isolated.
Jason and Lucia sit at the center, while people such as Brian, Cal, Boobie, Dre’Quan, Real Dimez and Raul connect different parts of Leonida together.
- You have criminals.
- You have musicians.
- You have business owners.
- You have people chasing fame.
- You have old-school operators.
And then you have Jason and Lucia trying to make their own way through all of it.
That mixture is what makes the GTA 6 cast so exciting.
The game is not just returning to Vice City. It is building a new group of personalities around the city and the wider Leonida region.
Confirmed GTA 6 Characters vs Rumors
This is important for anyone following GTA 6 theories.
The characters covered above are based on information Rockstar has officially revealed through its GTA VI material. Rockstar has also released dedicated character videos and images for the main revealed cast.
You will also see plenty of theories about characters from GTA 4, GTA 5 and GTA Online returning in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Those theories can be fun to follow, especially when fans discover connections between old games and the new setting.
But a rumor is still a rumor.
So we will keep confirmed GTA 6 characters separate from possible returning characters until Rockstar actually confirms them.
The GTA 6 Cast Is Just Getting Started
There is still a lot we do not know about the full cast.
Rockstar has shown enough to introduce the major players, but the story could have plenty of surprises waiting for us once we finally get into Leonida.
Jason and Lucia are obviously the heart of the game, but the supporting characters may end up being just as memorable.
And knowing GTA, there will probably be a few characters we meet for five minutes and somehow remember for years.
For now, these are the revealed faces worth knowing before GTA 6 arrives.
