Nadal dethrones Djokovic to claim his 6th title in Rome

The King of Clay Rafael Nadal defeated World No.1 Serb Novak Djokovic in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 to clinch his 6th Rome Masters title. Nadal will now overtake Roger Federer as the World No.2 in the ATP World tour rankings. This win means that Nadal now has  a record twenty-one ATP 1000 Masters titles , one ahead of Roger Federer who had won his 20th Masters title at the Madrid Masters last week.

The Spaniard has now beaten Djokovic twice after having suffered seven straight losses to him, the last one of them coming in the final of Australian Open 2012 . With Roland Garros 2012 just less than a week away , this win will surely give a confidence boost to the six time French Open Champion.
