Pep Guardiola’s team have reached another milestone. The Catalan giants have equalized the unbeaten record at Camp Nou (Home ground). Putting together a run of consecutive eight victories on home ground they have also put 34 without conceding a single one.

Adding the last few matches of the 2010/11 season the winning streak have reached to 11 games.

With the win against Rayo Vallecano, Pep’s men continue to make history as they equalize the record of remaining unbeaten at Camp Nou of the 1986/87 season.

Terry Venables managed that Barca side, which remained unbeaten for 8 league matches scoring 14 goals without conceding any. This Barca side has equalized the record but has put more number of goals i.e. 34 with average of more than 4 goals per match without any reply from the opponents. The team can beat the record if they beat Levente whom they face this Saturday without conceding any goal.

The tremendous English side and the Spanish giants remain the only unbeaten teams in Europe. The English side Manchester City is currently enjoying their best season and the Catalan giants despite of the poor show have somehow managed to keep the defeat away from their fixtures.

So this season has started a little differently with freaky results flying over everywhere. Manchester United kicked it off with the 8-2 hammering of Arsenal before suffering an embarrassment themselves. While Chelsea have disappointed but it’s still early days for them in terms of new management and I personally believe AVB should be given at least 2 years to prove himself in the best league in the world.
