Once again the hosts won the toss and Babar Azam put the Australians into bat. Australia didn't find the Pakistani pacers comfortable at all and it didn't look like they would either when they're highest scorer of the previous game Patterson was run out for a first ball duck.
Opener Cameron Bancroft and middle order batsman had a good 5th wicket partnership of 52 after being restricted at 53-4 but Zafar Gohar made sure that had ended as he bamboozled Bancroft with great variations which led him to being stumped by wicketkeeper Salman Afridi for 47 off 111 deliveries. Zia-ul-haq the left arm pacer made work of the tail enders as he ended up with the best figures of the game claiming 3-20 in 7 overs as Australia we're shot all out for 139. The other bowlers Mohammad Nawaz, Azizullah and Usman Qadir all chipped in with wickets whereas Ehsan Adil couldn't but he managed to conceed less than two runs an over.
Pakistan's ever reliable openers set up the chase with a 36 first partnership at the top before Gurinder Sandhu clean bowled Skipper Azam for 20 off 33 balls and managed to snare Sami Aslam 5 overs later who departed for 26 however they couldn't rattle through the top order as after that all of the top 5 batsman put in more than 20 valuable runs as Imam-ul-haq 30* off 62 and Saad Ali 36* off 33 balls finished the game to give Pakistan the series.
Zia-ul-haq was named man of the match for his impressive figures, Pakistan will look to finish things off in style in the final youth ODI on August 3rd.
