Barclays Premier League Gameweek 20 : Review
For our 1st match we will take a look at a battle between two newly promoted sides.
QPR v Norwich City.
18,000+ QPR fans gathered at Loftus Road expecting the Rangers
to avenge their loss to Norwich earlier this season.
Barton scored in the 11th minute. Their joy soon turned sour as the man with the opening
goal was sent off in the 36th minute for an off-ball incident involving Norwich midfielder Bradley
Johnson. The Canaries were quick to take advantage as Anthony Pilkington made it 1-1 3 minutes
before halftime. Substitute Steve Morrison then grabbed a late winner in the 83rd winner to give Norwich
the 3 points
Next up we have a rousing giant facing an established one. This is
Manchester City vs Liverpool at Etihad Stadium
It was literally a wipeout waiting to happen. Liverpool could clearly feel Luis Suarrez's
absence as he began his 8 match ban today. Sergio Aguero opened the scoring in the
tenth minute. African footballer of the year Yaya Toure got his name on the scoresheet in
the 33rd minute. James Milner then finished it off with a very well converted spot-kick in the
75th minute.
Finally we have the Magpies facing the Red Devils
Its Newcastle United vs Manchester United at the Sports Direct Arena
Manchester United were looking to avenge their loss to Blackburn last week but had to suffer more
of the same as they were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle. Demba Ba scored the opener in the 33rd minute.
Yohan Cabaye made it two-nil 2 minutes into the 2nd half. The suffering was made even worse when
Phil Jones popped the ball into his own net.
