AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has directed an expletive-ridden outburst at Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola and the Barcelona Boss in his autobiography (JAG AR ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC).
Staying on the true side and accepting his bad-boy image in the book, Ibrahimovic also describes a series of controversies with other players and coaches during his career.
Ibrahimovic joined Barcelona in 2009 in a $66 million deal that sent striker Samuel Eto'o to Inter. He scored 16 goals in the Spanish league but often struggled to fit into Barcelona's intricate passing schemes (due to his natural game of self assist and trying to score).
A passage from his book quotes Ibrahimovic in a meeting with Barcelona Boss.
"The president said: 'I understand the situation. Which club do you want to join?' I replied: 'Madrid.' Rosell replied: 'that is not possible. You can go anywhere but there.’”
Ibrahimovic could never join his former Inter Coach Jose Mourinho in Mourinho’s new club “Real Madrid”. Instead he moved to Milan who took him permanently for an amount of €24 million.
Writing about his role in Barcelona the Swedish star says.
"It's like you bought a Ferrari and drive it like a Fiat," Ibrahimovic said of his role in the shadow of Messi, whom he praised as a great player.
More in his book Zlatan writes about Guardiola, "If Mourinho lights up a room, Guardiola pulls down the curtains,"
It would be a delight reading the controversial autobiography as the Swedish great also writes about a series of rows with other players at National and International level in his career.
