If 'Evra' there was a time to walk alone, it's now
Dalglish:

“Everyone involved, including the media, the supporters and both teams have a responsibility to ensure this weekend is remembered as a cracking game of football between two very good sides, rather than for anything else.
“I thought everyone involved in the FA Cup tie at Anfield played their part in making sure that the match was played in the right way, so let’s make sure that happens again this weekend.”

“I’m sure people will want to talk about Luis Suarez, but he accepted his ban, served his suspension and returned against Spurs on Monday. It’s time for all of us to draw a line under what happened and move forward.

“People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony, but from Luis’s point of view we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game.”

With mouth watering encounters set up and teams looking to find lost momentum or perhaps build on it , this will be nothing short of the EL Classico if not better . Teams will be facing each other for the second time this season so it is very much a chance for most  to set the record straight, thus Redemption time . But cometh the hour it is yet to be seen who takes the three precious points or will the spoils be shared ?

The infamous FA Cup Manchester Derby was more of an issue of bragging rights than anything else and arguably turned out to be the best of the Round three match ups .United were on the verge of losing three in a row for the first time ever since 2001. City settled down early playing free flowing football but had the shock of a top notch goal delivered by the head of United’s very own Wayne Rooney. Then, as  contentious as they come in the 12th minute, City captain Vincent Kompany was bluntly sent off for an apparent scissors on Luis Nani .

With City shattered Danny Welbeck with lovely technique volleyed one home to double the deficit . Unired went three up after a  moment of complete carelessness by Alexander Kolarov bringing down Welbeck in the box. Step up Rooney, forcing a brilliant save from the City’s second favoured goalkeeper Pantilimon but all in vain heads back the rebound. With the three goal advantage it was fair to say it was all but over. But no one would have placed their bets on the score line that followed.

I am a firm believer that ‘There’s always  two sides to a coin’.  So the question lately around the English footie world is ‘Was Suarez rightly banned?’ I intended on giving voice to my thoughts through the site on the subject but discovered that my colleague had already written a piece that would  lead  an uninformed and not so enthusiastic football fan to picture Luis as a racist, over-rated and worthless prick  . But as you might have already guessed I beg to differ .So one may assert  that the article ‘Oh Mr Suarez . Shame!’ is one side to that coin and my perception is the other . I lay down my arguments ! And you be the judge .
