Amir ‘king’ Khan , a British-Pakistani boxer will put his WBA World Super Championship and IBF World Championship belts on the line against Lamont ‘havoc’ Peterson on December , the 10th . This sensational 12-round match up is the main event that takes place in Lamont’s home town of Washington.

Amir Iqbal Khan (26-1, 18 KO's) hailing from Bolton , England has his family origins deep into Kahuta ,Rawalpindi . Khan has been in tremendous form this year with two clinical and satisfying triumphs against Paul McCloskey and Zab Judah. Khan who is rated as the best boxer in the light welter weight division has had an illustrious career since he became the youngest silver medallist in 2004 Olympics just aged 17 . And went on to become the youngest British world champions ever, winning the WBA world title, aged only 22 and defending the WBA title five times before unifying the division.

Lamont Peterson(29-1-1, 15 KO's) hailing from Washington has had a troubled past but a very outstanding career so far. Peterson goes on to say, ’It is for sure the biggest and (most) exciting fight of my career so far", later adding "on 10 December, I will make my dreams come true and ruin Amir's plans to reign over his division". Peterson currently has no belts to his name and hopes that could all change come 10th December.

Finally West Indies managed to upset India and snatched a 16-run victory over world champions to keep themselves alive in the five-match series.

Chasing a score of 261, Rohit Sharma struck a classy 95 but the Indians lacked firepower to overhaul the target and were ultimately bowled out for 244 in 46.5 overs.

West Indies, who desperately needed a victory to keep themselves in the reckoning, recorded their first win in the tour to reduce the margin to 1-2.

The last wicket pair of Abhimanyu Mithun (23) and Umesh Yadav (11 not out) raised hopes of unlikely win with 28-run stand after India were reduced to 216 for nine in 43.3 overs. But West Indies’ most successful bowler , Ravi Rampaul killed any hopes that Indians might have had as he  trapped Mithun plumb in front of the wicket to end India's winning streak.

Pakistan will face Bangladesh at Chittagong Stadium for third and the final ODI of the series. Pakistan mesmerized Bangladesh in both previous ODIs as well as the one off T20 game. Though this is a dead rubber now, but Pakistan (who are looking for an improved ranking) will try their best to win the last game too. Considering the fact that Bangladesh have failed to cause any headaches for Pakistan, it’s likely that Pakistan will provide an opportunity to those, sitting out on the bench.

Mohammad Hafeez:
Pakistan’s highest runs scorer this year, Mohammad Hafeez has been a revelation ever since his comeback. He exhibited fair bit of form in last 2 ODIs but failed to convert them into biggies. He’ll be desperate to go out in the middle, latch onto his form and transform that good form onto the scoring sheet.  Talking about his bowling: Bangladesh have got 6 left-handers in their bating line-up, ‘nuff said.

The world football governing body has announced the final three candidates for the prestigious individual award, while the Coach of the Year nominees were also revealed.

Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Xavi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo have been nominated as the finalist for the Ballon d' Or Award 2011. Lionel Messi was crowned with this award in 2010 as well as in 2009. Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Ballon d'Or in 2008, is also still in the race to win the trophy for a second time. The third remaining candidate is Spain international and Barcelona midfielder Xavi, who finished third in both 2009 and 2010. Messi is also one of the three remaining candidates to win the Puskas award for his goal in the Champions League against Arsenal, while Manchester United's Wayne Rooney (winning goal against Manchester City) and Santos forward Neymar (strike versus Flamengo) have also made the final three. 

The three candidates for the title of Coach of the Season were also announced at the gathering at France Football's headquarters, with Barcelona's Pep Guardiola, Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson and Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho. Jose Mourinho recieved the title last year.

Pakistan cricket team has made a record of winning 6 consecutive bilateral series. This record was achieved by Pakistan cricket team after winning the 2nd ODI against Bangladesh by 76 runs.

Pakistan has not lost a single series this year. Pakistan played against New Zealand, West Indies, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Against all the teams, Pakistan continued its winning streaks. 1st ODI series of the year was against New Zealand, in which, Pakistan beat New Zealand by 3-2. After that, Pakistan beat West Indies by 3-2, Ireland by 2-0, Zimbabwe by 3-0, Sri Lanka by 4-1 and Bangladesh by 3-0.

In past, Pakistan has also won 5 consecutive series twice. First was between 1st March 1981 and December 1990, in which Pakistan beat Sri Lanka two times, while New Zealand, India and West Indies.2nd time. Pakistan beat Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand, Australia and Zimbabwe in 2002.

Pakistan's next ODI match will be against England next year.
