Sevilla,Spain -- The Spanish Armada led by Rafael Nadal  will  be up against  the  Argentine Stars in the Davis Cup  Final 2011 from  2nd to 4th  December. Rafa will start off  Spain's bid  for a third title in four years with  his opening match against  Juan Monaco  on Friday.

David Nalbandian, who will be playing in his third final for Argentina, was left out of the singles draw and will instead partner Eduardo Schwank in Saturday's doubles.

On Saturday, Spain's Feliciano Lopez  and Fernando Verdasco meet David Nalbandian and Eduardo Schwank in the doubles rubber. Nadal is scheduled to face del Potro on Sunday in the first reverse singles rubber, followed by Ferrer versus Monaco.

The draw ceremony took place at the Teatro Lope de Vega in the centre of Seville on Thursday.

Nadal and Ferrer have a combined record of 25 wins and 0 defeats on clay for four-time champions Spain.

Nalbandian hasn't played since mid-October, so Argentina captain Tito Vazquez decided to save the 2002 Wimbledon finalist for the doubles, which is where the South Americans may have an advantage.

Sunderland have parted company with their manager, Steve Bruce, after chairman, Ellis Short, described results this season as "simply not good enough".

Last Saturday's home defeat to Wigan left Sunderland 16th in the Premier League, just two points above the relegation zone.

Bruce had insisted he had no intention of walking away from the Stadium of Light, despite fans again calling for his head at the weekend.

In a statement released on the club's official website, Short said:

"Steve has acted with honesty and integrity throughout, which is testament to the character and commitment he has shown during his time at Sunderland.

"I would like to personally place on record my thanks to him for his significant contribution to our football club over the past two and a half years and everyone here at Sunderland naturally wishes him the very best for the future.

"I would also like to thank our fans, who have endured a trying start to the season. Their support continues to be the driving force behind our club and is vital as we now look to the future."

Bruce Ex-Teammate Mark Hughes and Ex-Villa Manager Martin O'Neil are the Favourites to replace Him.

GulExperienced hands Misbah ul Haq and Shahid Afridi complemented each other well, in the post match conference as well as out on the pitch to take Pakistan home, from a dodgy position in the first ODI, here in Dhaka.

Chasing 92 to take a 1-0 lead in the opening match of the series, Pakistan were put into a tricky situation, mainly by some reckless shots and a poor umpiring decision. It didn’t matter in the end as former captain Shahid Afridi, who has been dynamite ever since his latest comeback, along with captain Misbah ul Haq guided Pakistan home safely after 63-5 at one stage.

That Pakistan was chasing a poor total, was thanks in large part due to Bangladeshi batsmen charitable work disguised as their batting performance. The contest was all but over in the first over of the game, when M. Hafeez with his wily off-spinners trapped Tamim Iqbal lbw. Bangladesh never seemed to recover after that blow and lost wickets at regular intervals.

Barca

Pep Guardiola’s team have reached another milestone. The Catalan giants have equalized the unbeaten record at Camp Nou (Home ground). Putting together a run of consecutive eight victories on home ground they have also put 34 without conceding a single one.

Adding the last few matches of the 2010/11 season the winning streak have reached to 11 games.

With the win against Rayo Vallecano, Pep’s men continue to make history as they equalize the record of remaining unbeaten at Camp Nou of the 1986/87 season.

Terry Venables managed that Barca side, which remained unbeaten for 8 league matches scoring 14 goals without conceding any. This Barca side has equalized the record but has put more number of goals i.e. 34 with average of more than 4 goals per match without any reply from the opponents. The team can beat the record if they beat Levente whom they face this Saturday without conceding any goal.
