The recent Test match between South Africa and Australia at Newlands was mind-boggling. The second day started with the first innings continuing and ended with the fourth innings. A whopping 23 wickets fell on the second day of one of the most bizarre batting collapses by the two teams. 23 WICKETS! That’s almost two and a half innings of test cricket! I wasn’t watching the test match, I was watching Japanese anime and no one dares to disturb me when I’m watching anime. But my dad came and told me, “Ustad, tumhari South Africa to Pakistan ki tarah khel rahi hai”. I thought maybe they’re having a collapse but sooner or later someone would come and get them out of it. When the anime ended, I started another episode, but I decided to have a look on the scorecard. I was shocked to see South Africa bowled out for a mere 96. “Well, that’s another Test in Australia’s pocket!”, I thought and resumed watching the anime. I was tired of Australia winning everything they put their hands on.

Tabrez Ali Janjua - I am an avid West Ham United fan who still thinks that one day he will be playing for them. I love sport and physical fitness and play football regularly myself every week, and also cricket when the weather permits.

What are the sports that you follow and which one is your real passion?

I follow Football and Cricket mainly, yet do like to watch tennis when Roger Federer is playing, and snooker when Ronnie O’Sullivan is playing. There’s something about witnessing a genius doing what they love and putting what God has blessed them with on show. That’s what attracts me to the likes of Federer and O’Sullivan.

It may come as a surprise, but my real passion is football, both playing and watching. I’m crazy about my local team West Ham United. I do love cricket too but it comes a close second behind football. Both sports test different aspects and are a true pleasure to watch and play.

Pakistan is a nation that produces talents day and night, here are a selected few that will in my opinion go on to break into the full side. here is Pakistan cricket's future. A glorious era in cricket journalism comes to an end. A man so dauntless, so perceptive, so full of knowledge and wisdom is no more;,the acclaimed cricket writer Peter Roebuck,55, has been found dead at a hotel in Cape Town, South Africa.

According to one report, Roebuck appeared to be in a disturbed state last night. He was spoken to by police in his room on the sixth floor of the Southern Sun Hotel, Newlands, in Cape Town about 10pm.

 
It is believed police removed personal items from his room. His body was taken to the mortuary in the early hours of the morning.

Roebuck,who scored more than 17,000 first class runs, was instrumental in the departure of West Indians Viv Richards and Joel Garner, as well as England captain Ian Botham, from Somerset during his tempestuous reign as captain in the late 1980s.
