The dependable two by Ahsan Akhtar

Often, in cricket, you will listen to commentators talking about building partnerships is a key to post a total or to chase a total. In the last one year or so, Pakistan left out Mohammad Yousuf who has scored above 7000 runs in Test cricket for Pakistan, and is one of the greatest batsman Pakistan has ever produced. Leaving him out from the national side was actually imposed more responsibility to the big two of Pakistan middle order, Misbah-ul-haq and Younis Khan.

Pakistan middle order now revolves around two heavy weights. They are the guiders of the ship named Pakistan cricket team.

Manchester City put in a performance for the ages when it trounced Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Clinical, lethal, disciplined, decisive, unrelenting - all words that could be used to describe how the club played, and rightly so.

Considering the result, many have put City as the firm favorite to unseat United as champions of the English Premier League, and given that Roberto Mancini's team has a five-point lead at the top of the table, those claims make a lot of sense.
But again comes the same point that they start season with some massive and shocking wins but as season carries on they start loosing their winning momentum; and a team which looks like a champion at start of season hardly seems to show its name as a good team on points table.

So, despite beating United 6-1, boasting near-unlimited amounts of talent (and cash) the fact that it is led by a seasoned coach with numerous titles to his name, City won't be lifting the EPL trophy at season's end.
