Pakistan won the 3-nation tri hockey series after beating Australia in the final. The series was played between Australia, Pakistan and India.
The tournament was kicked off on Friday 28th October. Australia was the team having the home advantage. The tournament was based on double league rule. Each team played 4 group matches against other two teams.
1st match of the tournament was played between the host Australia and India, in which Australia beat India. Next day, Pakistan played its first match against Australia in which host team defeated Pakistan.
On Sunday, Pakistan vs India was played. Match between the rivals ended as a draw. Players of both teams had a fight in that match. That is why, 5 Indians and 1 Pakistan player faced a ban.
Next day, 2nd round of the tournament started. Australia faced Pakistan and beat Pakistan with a very huge margin of 8-2. Australia's good performance continued as they beat India again and confirmed their place in the final.
In last group match of the tournament, Pakistan had to face India. The match was a semi-final, as the winner team was set to face Australia in the final. This time also, match between the rivals ended as a draw. But due to good goal-rate, Pakistan qualified for the final.
Final was played today between Pakistan and Australia. Australia, who was unbeaten throughout the tournament, lost this time. Pakistan beat Australia by 4-3 and won the tournament too. :)
